Some lives do not announce themselves.

Krishnamma Jegannathan lived such a life.

Not in recognition.

In January 2025, we began documenting her story.

Not as a biography.

But as a trace — of land, of struggle, of a life that moved alongside history without asking to be seen.

We do not begin with the camera.

We begin with listening.

To the pauses.
To the silences.
To the spaces where memory still forms.

Two films are now in production.

One follows the land.

The other follows the silence.

Together, they do not attempt to explain her.

They remain with her.

Because some lives are not meant to be simplified.

They are meant to be witnessed.
