Community Screening — Rajapalayam Heritage Week

A film travels.

But sometimes, it returns.

In February 2025, during Rajapalayam Heritage Week,

Sirpigalin Sirpangal was screened in the town where its story belongs.

Not in distance.

But in proximity.

The craftsmen sat among us.

They watched their own hands.
Their own rhythms.
Their own silences.

There was no need for interpretation.

No distance between the image and the memory.

Only recognition.

The film did not introduce something new.

It returned something that already existed.

And for a moment, what is often overlooked became visible.

Not as spectacle.

But as truth.
